Porn Star Jesse Jane Dead at 43 After Apparent Overdose 

Los Angeles, CA - Adult film star Jesse Jane was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Thursday at age 43 after an apparent drug overdose, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Jane, whose real name was Cindy Taylor, was discovered deceased around 2PM when officers responded to a welfare check call at her Sherman Oaks residence. Her boyfriend, whose name has not been released, was also found unconscious at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

The LAPD said narcotics and drug paraphernalia were observed in plain view inside the home. The exact cause of Jane's death is still under investigation pending a toxicology report, but authorities suspect a possible overdose due to the evidence collected at the scene. 

Jane had a prolific career in the adult film industry, winning several AVN Awards since her debut in 2002. However, she had recently struggled with substance abuse issues following a domestic violence incident with her boyfriend last year that resulted in an arrest. 

"This is a truly heartbreaking loss of one of adult film's biggest stars," said industry trade group FSC in a statement. "Jesse Jane was an icon known to millions of fans around the world. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and loved ones during this difficult time."

Jane is survived by her two children. The investigation into her death remains ongoing.
