Alexander Lexo Lashkarava mother found him dead
TV cameraman beaten during clashes dies in Tbilisi On July 5 Alexander (Lekso) Lashkarava, a cameraman for the Georgian company Pirveli, was beaten by opponents of the LGBT march.
The cameraman's colleagues reported that Alexander Lashkarava suffered concussions and facial bone fractures in many places as a result of LGBT opponents attacking and vandalizing the office of the nonprofit organization Shame. On that day, Alexander was in the entryway. In his lifetime, he recalled, "We were coming down when we heard a terrible rumble on the lower floors. They burst into the entryway. I was standing on the stairs, someone across the stairs, from the side of the entryway, pulled me. Punching from behind, from the front. I didn't understand what was going on, where it was coming from.
The cameraman's mother found him dead Sunday morning in his apartment, but the exact cause of death has not yet been determined. An investigation has been opened into his death under an article denoting driving a person to suicide.
