Chernobyl NPP and Slavutych are completely without electricity

As a result of the actions of the Russian occupiers, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant continues to be without electricity.

This was announced by the press service of Ukrenergo.

"Fighting continues, so at the moment it is impossible to repair and restore power supply. The town of Slavutych is also without electricity. Ukrenergo is monitoring the situation and will inform about any changes," the statement said.

We remind:

The nuclear material monitoring systems at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant have stopped transmitting data to the IAEA.

On February 24, the Russian military captured the Chernobyl nuclear power plant after a fierce battle. Employees are being held hostage. The power plant is currently operating as planned. Ukraine called the Russian seizure of Chernobyl nuclear terrorism.
