Gruesome shock in Moscow: the lifeless body of a young Russian model was found in the trunk of a car a year after she disappeared.

Exciting: according to the Daily Mail, Gretta Vedler (23) had voiced vocal criticism of Putin a month before her disappearance. On her social media channels, she called the Kremlin leader a "psychopath." She predicted that his efforts to "strengthen Russia's integrity" would end in tears.

Her murder, however, apparently had nothing to do with criticism of Putin. Her jealous ex-boyfriend Dmitry Korovin (23) has already admitted to having strangled Gretta Vedler. The reason: money problems!

He told investigators that he slept with the 23-year-old's lifeless body in a hotel room for three nights. He then "stuffed" the body into a newly purchased suitcase, according to the Daily Mail.

He then drove to the Lipetsk region, 186 kilometers away, and left the car there for a year. He admitted to investigators that he repeatedly posted photos and messages on the model's social networks. He wanted her friends to believe that Gretta Vedler was still alive.

The death had nothing to do with Putin

However, a male friend of the model, Evgeniy Foster, who lives in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, which is currently under attack by Russia, became suspicious. He contacted a friend in Moscow and asked him to file a missing persons report. While searching for Gretta Vedler, her body was eventually discovered in the car.

A video released by Russian investigators shows the killer Korovin allegedly killing the model. He then made a full confession.

Incidentally, she had published her prescient posts about Putin in January 2021 - a month before her murder. However, according to the Daily Mail, they are not considered in the context of her death. "In light of subsequent events, however, they are chilling," the tabloid writes.
