She missed the mark.

Barack Obama's recent Martha's Vineyard bash 60th birthday boasted an A-list guest list, and according to one writer, Meghan Markle is upset she didn't make the cut.

The mother of two - who shares a birthday with the former president on Aug. 4 - was "desperate" to be among those in attendance, writer Angela Levin told The Sun.

"I was told that although Meghan claimed she couldn't attend, she desperately wanted to be the special guest at the Obamas' fantastic party," Levin explained, adding that the Obamas were forced to limit guests to 475 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Number of people, "Harry and Meghan were never on the original list."

However, sources recently told Page Six that Markle and husband Prince Harry had no intention of attending the star-studded party, as the two are still on parental leave following the arrival of their daughter, nicknamed Lili, in June.

Instead of trekking to the East Coast for the Obama shindig, the California duchess spent her 40th promoting her new philanthropic venture with her and Harry's foundation Archewell.

"Because I'm turning 40, I'm asking 40 friends to donate 40 minutes of their time to help a woman who's going back to work," she tells actress Melissa McCarthy - dressed as if she's going to a royal go party and have tea - in the promo clip.

"I think if we all do it and spend all 40 minutes on a service, we can create a ripple effect."

Among those who have committed to the project are singer Adele, President Biden's inaugural poet Amanda Gorman and feminist activist Gloria Steinem.
