The State Office for the Environment has given the green light for the project. More than two years ago, Tesla started construction at its own risk: with early commitments, but without approval.

500,000 CARS PER YEAR
The official opening is now scheduled for March 22 or 23. Around 12,000 employees will then produce up to 500,000 cars per year at the Tesla factory.
