Elijah Moore Suffers Alarming Head Injury in Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets Game

Update: How is Elijah Moore's head injury?

In an exciting Week 17 game against the New York Jets, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore suffered a disturbing head injury. The incident occurred when Joe Flacco targeted him with a precise 22-yard pass. Despite breaking a tackle, Moore was brought down by CJ Mosley with a clean tackle from behind.

The impact occurred when Moore's helmet hit the ground frontally, causing his head to snap back. There was evidence that he may have been hit again in the facemask as he turned. Moore lay on the field with his arms moving involuntarily.

Trainers rushed to Moore and eventually helped him off the field. Per NFL protocol, he made a pit stop in the mandatory blue tent for an initial assessment before heading to the locker room for further evaluation, which ruled him out for the remainder of the game.

Prior to the injury, Moore had an impressive performance, securing five catches for 61 yards and a touchdown. This unfortunate incident isn't the first time Moore has dealt with a head injury; during his rookie season in 2021, he missed a game due to a head injury suffered in Week 3.

To date, the Browns have not provided an official update on Moore's condition. While there is optimism that he can use the additional days before the next game in Week 18 to recover, it remains to be seen if the Browns might lean toward resting players against the Cincinnati Bengals depending on other results.
