Shocking turn of events, Jesus Dominguez and Corena Rose Minjarez have been arrested in connection with the deaths of their young children, Yesenia Dominguez and Jesus Jr. Dominguez. The children went missing in 2018 and were tragically found encased in concrete and stuffed inside a suitcase, respectively.
On January 20, a storage unit in Pueblo was being cleaned out when officers discovered a metal container filled with hardened concrete containing the remains of 3-year-old Yesenia Dominguez. The identity of the remains was confirmed through DNA testing. On January 31, Dominguez and Minjarez were brought in for questioning by the police, but their lead about the children being in Phoenix, Arizona, proved unsuccessful.

Both suspects are facing two counts each of murder and abuse of a corpse. Dominguez is also charged with theft of government benefits. They are being held on a $2 million bond and are due back in court on Wednesday.
According to Pueblo Police Department Sgt. Franklyn Ortega, there were no signs or indications of the children since July 2018. Despite welfare checks, a missing persons report had never been filed. The tragic discovery has left the community in shock and mourning as they continue to search for answers.
