One journalist was killed, another was injured.
A 51-year-old New York Times correspondent was shot dead by Russian assailants in Irpen in the Kiev region. Another journalist of American media was wounded.
This was announced by the police in the Kiev region on December 13.
The victim was taken from the war zone and admitted to the Okhmatdit hospital.
"The occupiers cynically kill even journalists of international media who try to report the truth about atrocities committed by Russian forces in Ukraine. Of course, the journalist's profession is fraught with risks, and U.S. citizen Brent Renard paid with his life for trying to expose the aggressor's intrusion, cruelty and ruthlessness," wrote Kiev Region Police Chief Andriy Nyebitov.
