Biden: the U.S. can attack servers used by cybercriminals
Earlier in the U.S. there were a number of attacks by hackers on various U.S. companies.
U.S. President Joe Biden called it prudent for Washington to attack servers used by criminals using ransomware. The American leader made the statement before flying to Delaware.
The White House press pool noted that Biden responded in the affirmative when asked by reporters whether it made sense to attack the servers in such cases.
The U.S. government later did not elaborate on whether U.S. President Joe Biden had already given instructions about the attacks.
"We're certainly not going to talk about it publicly - in terms of any specific actions that the president did or did not order. So I'm not going to talk in detail about these operational issues," said a high-ranking U.S. administration official.
