Identified! Darrell Brooks "MathBoi Fly" Wisconsin Christmas parade in Waukesha
Darrell Brooks, who crashed his Ford SUV into a Christmas parade in Waukesha, killing five people and injuring 40, has been identified: It is 39-year-old Darrell Brooks.
This is what it's about
The man who crashed an SUV into a parade, killing five people, has been identified. He is in custody.
Darrell Brooks, 39, has a long rap sheet.
The amateur rapper fantasized about beating and abusing white people.
The driver of the red Ford Escape, 39-year-old Darrell Edward Brooks, had been released from jail on $1,000 bail just two days ago. The charges against Brooks are domestic violence, endangerment and resisting a police officer, Heavy.com reports. He was released Nov. 19 despite an earlier case still pending from 2020.
The charges from last year are assault, endangering with a dangerous weapon and illegal possession of a weapon. In addition, Brooks had already accumulated cases for assault, cocaine, and marijuana possession and quite a few other offenses since 1999, a court document shows. He also has a record in Nevada for a sexually motivated assault.
He was arrested at his Milwaukee residence after Sunday's death drive. The red SUV is registered to an elderly woman who lives at the same address on 19th Street.
Rapper with violent fantasies
Brooks also dabbles in rapping under the name MathBoi Fly. On Facebook, he calls himself an "underground hip-hop/rap/drill recording artist" and has released several videos. His Twitter account also lists him as a songwriter, producer and philosopher.
The motives for the rampage are still completely unknown. Brooks, however, addressed violent fantasies towards white people years ago. On social media, for example, he recently took part in the murder of rapper Young Dolph, but also talked about beating up “white people.” He is also said to have been actively involved in the BLM movement.
