You may not believe in Mercury retrograde and fate, but in the case of the renewed romance of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck after almost 20 years, there is no doubt that there were clearly stars or higher forces involved. Let's recap the whole story from beginning to end.
Lopez and Affleck first met on the set of the comedy melodrama "Gigli" in December 2001. Then Jennifer was married to her second husband Chris Judd, but soon after the meeting with Ben she filed for divorce. It was this year that marked the appearance of Bennifer (by the way, director Kevin Smith claims that he was the one who came up with the name for the couple when he was preparing to shoot "Jersey Girl" with them).
Bennifer quickly grabbed the attention of fans, and People Magazine then even paid $75,000 for nine joint shots of the actors riding in a Bentley. That same year came out and the famous Lopez video for the song Jenny From the Block with Affleck, and in November it became known about the engagement of the pair. Nothing foretold trouble.
